Volunteers

Loyal, dependable and responsible volunteers are an essential puzzle piece at Spirit Fire Farm. Without them, Spirit wouldn’t exist. Our volunteers have the same values and beliefs as our staff, though their responsiblities may vary. Spirit Fire Farm is always looking for volunteers to assist with the development and implementation of programs, animal care, fundraising, community involvement, transportation, rescue work, research, office work, and myriad of other projects.

Interested in volunteering? For questions about volunteering, use our ‘Get In Touch’ page or email arvaughan@spiritfirefarm.org . If you don’t have questions and want to jump right in, fill out our volunteer application (PDF or Word) and mail or email it to us. Please be sure to attach your current PA Child Abuse History Clearance and Crimal History Check if you are applying to volunteer directly with programming. If you do not currently have them, you may proceed with the application and interview but will not be able to volunteer with the youth in our program until you obtain them and provide Spirit Fire Farm with copies of these documents.

Volunteer of the Month (December 2011):

Congratulations to JOE ROBINSON for winning our Volunteer of the Month contest for a 2nd time! Each month, Joe helps Spirit with a very important task: Hay Duty! Without Joe’s hard work, our horses wouldn’t have anything to eat! Joe helps us pick up, transport, and unload hay. Thank you for your kindness, Joe! We couldn’t do it without you!
